Winner at 21 Film Festivals Worldwide

Follow Jeremy Seifert and his circle of friends as they dumpster dive in the back alleys and gated garbage receptacles of L.A.'s supermarkets. In the process they uncover thousands of dollars worth of good food and an ugly truth about waste in America: grocery stores know they are wasting and most refuse to do anything about it. Contact us at www.divethefilm.com to set up a screening and get involved in the EAT TRASH Campaign for Zero Waste!

  • You get arrested for trying to live outside the system for that reason...the 'system' does'nt want you living outside it having an easy ride..it wants your as a debt slave dependent on it and using all your energy so it can feed off you. This is why a girl who stole from a dumpster in England was charged with theft. This is the truth of the world we live in folks. Peace

  • I LOVE THIS FILM!!!

  • @llel11 People get food poison from restaurant more then dumster. I think it's has more to do with the greed of the company not the poisoning.

  • Guys you are Heros!!! I am so proud of you to show the world the reall truth about wastfull America who let hungry people to watch good food being wasted infront of them. I h can't find a words how stupid this system to wast so much money and to be so cruel to others. Those who wast a food should be in jail for that.

  • Wow...I saw this film. This is a powerful, jaw-dropping documentary...! You need to see this. Your children need to see this.

    Pass it on.

  • If everybody did this the grocery stores would go out of business, the economy would collapse, technology would come to a halt, people would migrate out of urban areas, and we would revert back to egalitarian foragers... Eventually some more technologically advanced society would exploit the people and resources of the continent. That is why capitalism sucks.

  • i understand the idea of eating food that is OK, but there are people willing to hire lawyers to throw pitchforks at the grocery store if they eat something bad thats been thrown away- so the whining about locked dumpsters has to stop. Also here in florida they dont throw away frozen food 5 minutes to closing time; the food is festering all day in the garbage can and it stews in the dumpster along with tons of garbage... I have no idea how they get down everywhere else...

  • I watched this last night in Bozeman, MT; I was glad the public library had a copy. A lot of food makes it to the food bank here, or stores have locked dumpsters. No good food diving experiences like what is shown here. I can still find pretty amazing non-food items thrown away by college students, though.

  • hey, do you know the artists they use in this movie?

  • When I was little I use to always wonder why we didn't ship food over to 3rd world countries... now in the modern age with the iphone, ipod, itunes and ipad... we can invent an ifridge and ifreezer to send food to these places?

  • Hi I just saw this movie in NZ now on tv. I think what you guys did was amazing. There needs to be more people like you in the world. Well done!
