Hoping someone can help me on this. Just got this 2 CYL Onan generator, bought it off a friend of ours, he knows very little about it. I cannot find ANYTHING about it on the internet. It appears as if it might be military surplus, has some olive drab paint on it. The fuel tank has been taken off for cleaning and the cart it is sitting on was added by someone else. The hood and frame are all original. Its only 115 volts and is manual start. Ill be sure to add some more videos of it as soon as i can.

  • A few things I have noticed, there is a small brass knob on the Carburettor to manually apply the choke (though think it's auto choke if working properl) also there's a screw out drain on bottom of carb bowl, Very useful as they get debris in them, if it won't fire up at all & your getting a spark suspect a blocked brass main jet in carb, always happens when they are left idle for long periods, this old thing has only done 550 hours since new.Points are in rectangular box atop-rear of engine.

  • Hi, I just got one with the exact same engine as yours, this one has a much longer generator unit and is ex British Army, this one uses the Generator unit as a starter unit, complicated electric has several relays and large wire wound or more on it's solid steel sled, took 3 of us to get it into the car & even then was a struggle.Good thing about it is it's almost complete and running (though needs some small jobs like a muffler-silencer).

  • Well, I'm not sure what you are wanting, but I used to be an Onan mechanic many many years ago. As I recall it was called a CCK, though. Not a CK. Could be wrong. Was a long time ago.

  • Hi, I have the same ck 3kw set.
