I thought I make a video on my Nettalk Duo. It's the best thing I ever purchased and I save $$$.

I found this device offers exceptional calls at awesome price. Setup is very simple. It does have E911 different from the landline 911 service.

Features that I use are call waiting, call ID just to name a few. Canada, long distance and local calls are free.

No monthly bills. But there is a year fee around $30

You will need a good high speed internet connection to use this device. You can also send and receive faxes without issues.

No PC required but you can also setup to PC.

First, you need to disconnect the outside phone jack before installing this device.

Second, register the Nettalk online in order to use it. You will pick a phone # from there.

See video for more setup and tips.

  • Can you set up your own personal voicemail message on Net-Talk for callers to hear when you are not available?

  • @finenfabulouscious

I think so. I think they let you access your voicemail through your e-mail. I put my answer machine on the phone and it works fine also that way.

  • nettalk limits your calling to 3000 minuite per month beware

  • @BurgersHouse

    True. Check this out.

    24hrs/day x 60min/hr x 30days = 43,200 mins/month avg.

    Normally, 4hrs/day x 60mins/hr x 30days = 7200 mins/month or

    if 2hrs/day x 60mins/hr x 30days = 3600 mins/month.

  • what is annual or monthly cost?? I have used magicjack for 4 years and that is $20. per year,

  • @californiaspinnaker

    There is a yearly cost $29.95 after the 1st year. It's $49.95 1st year.

I'm just a consumer also and I'm satisfied with the product so far. I wasn't able to port my old phone # but I'm happy with my new # now.

I think MagicJack came out with the plus version now (right after I got the Nettalk duo). But the MagicJack has a higher startup cost?

    Have anyone used that also?

There is also another one called Ooma (not sure if anyone has tried that one)?

  • @netman88 Thanks, I think I will purchase this.

  • @MrSucuzhanay you can fax over Majicjack, turn down your baud rate or turn on overseas mode if you fax supports it.

  • @netman88 *90 minutes

  • @netman88 Yeah, Majicjack hiked up their rates to $29.95 a year as of the 20th of this month. So I went ahead and paid the $69.95 for 5 years b4 the cutoff. So, that comes out to $13.99 per year. It's a good service for me since I dont use the phone all that much. One thing to note, you get disconnected if youre on over 90 a call. You just need to keep an eye on the timer if you plan to talk longer than 90 minutes. You can just hang up and call whoever youre talking to back to reset.
