March 21, 2005: Congressman Roy Blunt and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz talk to "Today" show anchor Ann Curry about the legal battle over the fate of Terri Schiavo.

Congressman Roy Blunt and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz debate whether or not Terri Schiavo had a right to appeal the death sentence handed down against her.

Wasserman Schultz argued against Mrs. Schiavo's right to be represented in court. Wasserman Schultz tries to mischaracterize the situation as Congress coming uninvited into her home and deciding to override her clearly documented request to forgo extreme medical intrusion. Wasserman Schultz had been interfering in Terri's life long enough at this point to know that everything she says in this video is a lie.

Wasserman Schultz reveals her reason for arguing against Terri Schiavo. She needs justification for a similar killing in her own family.

Wasserman Schultz is now rushing from interview to interview, bragging about having hidden her cancer from the public, to protect her political career. She's not volunteering to be starved and dehydrated to death like Terri was. She obviously doesn't believe she should be subject to the rules she imposes on her subjects.

  • Some American people were fooled, but not all of us. When it's your turn in the barrel, your eyes will open, too late.

  • You're a coward to send this to my Inbox. I see no reason to cover for you. >"You're a cowardly little cunt who hides behind the fact that >no one can judge your replies, but you 'thumbs down' >anyone who disagrees with you and disables any comments >on your home page. > >My fondest hope for you? Someone drives an icepick >through your eyeball into the base of your non-functioning >brain, and spares the world one less useless consumer of> oxygen This is a perfect representation of your side.
  • I haven't rated your post. Yet. Seems I'm not the only one who sees you for what you are.

I've neither enabled nor disabled comments on my home page. Whatever the default is, that's what it is. I've never bothered to look. I didn't know there were, or could be, comments on home pages.

Anyway, thanks for demonstrating how much hatred you must have festering in your soul, to want so many people brutally killed.

  • You've confused liberaltarian atheism with conservatism. There's a big difference. The government does have a function, and ordering the starvation and dehydration of innocent citizens isn't its proper function.

  • my brother Is like terri schiavo and I would never everrrr make chose to ewnd him life!!! Hes still here theres a reason for it. IF it was his time to go then thee emts would of brought him back! This story breaks my hears. I know how hard the question of going on with the life of the person u love is...but in the end I would not ever choose to pull the plug..or mu family.

  • I agree with Representative Blunt.. They should have given the family a choice and unfortunately this should have never become a political issue..This became much larger that it should have.. Michael made this into a circus.. bastard!! She was fine on a feeding tube. If she would have died naturally that would have been another situation altogether...

  • it was wrong to murder her. period.
