Canadian National local L504 is ready to run north light power to do its switching chores for the day, and receives clearance to enter the mainline at downtown Waukesha. They creep down the rickety house track and stop just across Arcadian Ave. where the conductor walks over to line the switch for them. Then they continue on to the main, re-align the switch for mainline operations, and roll slowly northward.

3000 is one of an ever-dwindling number of maroon and gold Wisconsin Central locomotives in service.
