Ok so sunday night I was making a couple of burgers and I wanted to try making them in my Black and Decker toaster oven b/c making them on the George Foreman grill made them taste funny and dry and that cooks them too fast so I put them in the toster oven and it wasnt 5 mins later I was fiddling with the broil knob and it clicked and the oven shuts off and im trying to get it going again but nothing was working so today I took it apart and took a look inside. turns out the switch that switches between broil and toast broke due to heat and age so I guess its time to get a new one. its a shame that nothing is made to last anymore. I will be parting this thing for the 2 mechanical timers and the blue LED and whatever else I can salvage. I thought about saving the quartz elements but they are not one-piece. there are bells on this thing and they are LOUD. they are so loud its like they wake the dead. oh well it was a good toaster oven while it worked but nothing lasts forever anymore. thanks for watching and you know the rest.
And if somehow the R&D team at Black And Decker sees this video please use it to improve this oven replace the toast/broil switch with a higher amperage and heatproof one and use better lug and spade connectors on the wires.
