Family Contra dance in Westford, MA

At the Parish Center for the Arts this Sunday Susan Elberger called over the lively music of OH, CONTRAire! for the dancers to start a banana peel.
Most of the dancers formed a smoothly separating line and circled around the other dancers. Quinton Center, 7, and his friend Roger Carter, 6, decided to do their own version as they held hands and ran enthusiastically around the circle doing their unique dance moves. Center and Carter were not the only ones, many of the kids on the floor were also adding some originality to the way they moved through the steps.
