  • 4:57 kitty murder

  • great title, decent cartoon

  • he also called the cat a pussy

  • the cats stoned off his ass at 1:23 to 1:35. haha

  • Pussycats is the cwaziest people A HO HO HO HO!!!!!!!!

  • ER-ER-ER-ER-OOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

  • Bob Clampett occasionally inserted a gag into his cartoons from this point on (through 1943), where some small animal would see something unbelievable, declare "Now I've seen EVERYTHING!", take out a pistol, and shoot themselves. "Animals don't commit suicide", yes- but funny as hell in Clampett's hands. Clampett and Foster reused the "Sleeping Pills" label gag in Bugs Bunny's "The Big Snooze" (1946).

  • @chiefguggletram: They were popularly known back then as hurt gags...scenes that are funny in a cartoon but not funny in real life. In live action the closest thing to hurt gags were The Three Stooges.

  • All of these old cartoons have something disturbing about them, mainly the bird committing suicide in his cage.

  • LOVE Porky's fish impression at 2:02...

also the face at 7:16 used to scare the holy hell outta me
