Chuck, why do you not like your performance on Now You See it?! Practically everyone here thinks you did a good job. Sure, you're no Jack Narz, but you're good in my book.

Not bad. But i still prefer Jack Narz's version

One thing of this version that I did not like was the set. I dislike the fact that it had more of an outer-space look (those UFO set pieces in particular). Why couldn't they just use an updated version of the 1974-75 set. That would've been cool!

so many great sound effects borrowed from other shows here...here's a few of them
1.when the board first appears: card reveal from classic concentration
2.buzz in: pat finn joker's wild buzz in
3.buzzer and bell: the price is right
4.end of round: ray combs' family feud buzz in...

Give me eggcrates any day!

I love that they used the original 1970's music.

listen to the buzz in effect that's from THE JOKER'S WILD 90...think about it.

One problem is, the letters are too close together on the board. It's much easier to see words than it was on the 1974 version.
I think this show would do well now on GSN. Can't be worse than what's-his-face on Catch 21.

Anyone know if Jack Narz was approached about also hosting this revived version of the show? Was he offered the show and turned it down or did the producers think they needed someone different? Seems like Jack would've been a better choice than Chuck. Just wondering and thanks.

As good an imaging voice he is, Mark Driscoll didn't work as a game show announcer - not too long after the premiere, Driscoll was replaced by Don Morrow, who did his usual outstanding job.

I agree
I believe Jack Narz had retired at that point.

This show replaced Card Sharks.

And I believe this replaced Card Sharks and yes, the daytime version of Wheel of Fortune is was replaced this on CBS, the Bob Goen version.

That's because he don't want GSN to air his version, just the 1974 version. It'd be good if he allowed GSN to air his version

Actually 74 is when Narz first did NYSI

How do you think Chuck Hery did during his 13 week stint?
