  • Hello Auntie Manjula! What kind of oatmeal should I use? Can I use instant oatmeal?

I cracked up laughing towards the end of the video, because I prefer eating the crumb, just like your grand-daughter. :D

  • use instant oatmeal.

  • great winter dish..and i deffo agree with the brown sugar comment...makes it taste like caramel..

  • i think it could be more delicious if you make it with brown suger instead! it really changes the taste of the pie.

    thanks for sharing

  • My mother is crazy about cinnamon as well. We live in Upstate New York and we have some of the best apples here. I'll be baking this recipe with Northern Spy apples in two weeks.

  • I went apple picking this weekend and tonight I will try your Apple Crumb...will let you know how it goes.

  • THANKS Manjula!!! This recipe is amazing! It also tastes great with a crust on the bottom. Definately our favorite kind of dessert yet :)

  • I love apple crumb pie! I've always made it with a couple tablespoons of extra sugar over the apples to keep them sweet. However, your recipe has quite a bit of sugar in the crumb topping, so I am guessing it makes the pie sweet enough. Thank you so much for this recipe! I will definitely have to make this sometime soon! :)
