A Silent Thought, A Secret Tear, Keeps Their Memories Ever Dear. Yesterday at 14:58 ·

If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane; We would walk all the way to Heaven, to bring you home again; No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye; You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why; Our hearts ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow; What is meant to lose you, no one will ever know.

  • A total tragedy and huge loss for the ohakea air base.

He who has gone, so we but cherish his memory, abides with us, more potent, nay, more present than the living man.

Hold tight to memories for comfort.

  • brought tears to my eyes :( especially seeing the wreckage of the helicopter again :(

and even The picture of Ben at the end :( Ben. I wish things didn't have to end this way :( xxxx

Rest In Peace boys. You will all live on in our hearts.

and in the hearts of all your fellow colleagues, family and friends :(

  • And on the day that we are to remember; tragedy had struck once again. RIP; you served the country well. Espesially Hayden, whom I met on the 18th of March.

  • R.I.P Men

    We Will Remember Them

  • grea memorial tribute i'm sure they will touch many

  • It is a fine tribute. Goodbye boys.

I never had the pleasure of knowing Hayden or Ben, but Dan Gregory was a good friend of mine.

We were on the same intake. Same platoon on basic and core training. Then posted to the same company at 2/1 RNZIR afterwards.

Served with Red for three years, kept in touch ever since.

I am so sorry that this happened. So very, very sorry.
