The video cameras inside were recorded before. he probably got out while the audience was focus on the tapes, notice the camera sees him in a safe zone (5:14 to 5:15, you see just the white top of his head from him crouching, the camera focuses on other parts of the rubble and then looks back at him to see him.

notice the downhil slope, he came out of the building and waited there. good trick though!
