@Banankatt He is actually correct. "D-Day" refers to the actual day of the invasion, in this case June 6, 1944. All seaborn invasions were refered to as D-Day, the same as all attacks would begin at a preset time refered to as H-Hour.

D Day is just how the day of a invasion or Operation is reffered to.

If i was over 18 I would fight with America against Germany
-
D day was only called in the second world war as far as I know
-
you are exactly right my friend.
-
most definitely

The D doesnt mean anything in D-Day. Any invasion is called D-Day. Its just how the day of a invasion is reffered to.

It's Operation Overlord
just imagine just sitting in one of those ships
just waiting to be dropped off, knowing you will probably die immediately
what these men did is something that we should never forget

What these men did for freedom on that day will be remembered through the ages. Too bad 0bama "couldn't find the time" to visit the American military cemetery there.
