"Medieval" that is when these execution started but this film is set in the eighteen century not in medieval times.

That practice ended in late nineteen century except in Arabic countries where it was later abolished and replaced with either hanging or beheading which are still in use today..

"D.i.D." means "damsel in distress". I guess it comes from medieval chivalry. All clips are post are about women in danger. In this case, there was no white knight. There usually is one in mainstream movie, but not in horror movies.
