  • Nothing of what you say or do is "annoying"! Perhaps you are a bit nervous? No reason... You know what you're doing, and I want to learn. But why bother making turnouts. Why not just buy them? Seems like so much work. But I can see that you really enjoy this. N scale I see. I think that will be my scale too - one day. Thanks for all tips!

  • There's two things I can spend to get the turnouts I need for my layout: either money or time. If I buy all the turnouts I need (and I need about 60 or so for my current plan) I'd end up spending at least several hundred dollars. By making them myself I spend only about 1.50 per turnout. I'd rather spend the time than the money (and yeah it's fun too).
