Superfine sugar is the equivalent of powdered sugar. Correct?
meggiemeg86 4 years ago
No - confectioners, or powdered sugar is completely pulverized sugar - so fine it is literally a powder and often has a bit of cornstarch added to help prevent clumping. Superfine, also called castor or baking sugar is regular sugar just ground a little finer, it dissolves more readily than regular sugar and is usually called for in cakes and meringues...you can substitute superfine sugar for regular sugar.
