Short Dragon, Bantam Lake, tacking into cove and almost capsize, Nov 20, 2011.AVI

November 20, 2011sailing on Bantam Lake, CT. About 3 minutes into this video I captured an almost-capsize that will interest some of my outrigger buddies, since it puts into pictures what I have been saying about the rapid events that follow from flying an ama or being inattentive on the "proa tack." The remaining parts of this video are for my own documentation of short-tacking in almost no wind, boring to most Youtubers, so I will probably delete this video after a couple of weeks.

I did! See my earlier videos from the Everglades Challenge. But it is too wide to carry on my trailer all the time: I would have to assemble and disassemble it all the time. I am contemplating out-rigging one of my inflatable amas in a quick-set-up/take-down system to create a kind of trimaran -- I will need that for the taller rig I just bought.
