  • @XxCeltics34xX - NOAA never measured anything near 157 in Igor. The highest they measured was about 125. The 155 mph wind in Igor was based on satellite estimates as it was before Hurricane Hunters could reach it (too far east).

  • i dont understand why they have to round the winds...this thing could have been a category 5. The same thing happened to igor, the noaa measured a wind of 157mph from igor but TWC rounded down to 155 so it was never called a category 5 even though it was

  • This was one big and nasty storm. It was the size of Florida

  • Hey I lived in north Carolina and I was basically flooded out I'm surprised I'm still living it was very devastating

  • Dave Swartz " It's the element to the left with the hole in it" 4:03 .....Yah and if you live on the SE coast of FL ?????????????

  • I live in S.FL and I gotta tell you at about this time I was shitting my pants cause that turn to the north just wasnt happening..... And this thing was a Monster ...It looked much more impressive on sattellite than Andrew did back in 92 and it was clearly a much larger storm in terms of the square miles it would have devastated had it not made that turn to the north.....compared to Andrew....

  • I live in Massachusetts and I remember this vividly. I was ten years old and was psyched that shcool was canceled, when it came up the East Coast. I obviously didn't have an idea of how destructive the storm was. I really hope we don't have one of these this hurricane season.

  • @inuyasha3436 in north carolina in our city...we have a sign that shows how high the waters rose because of floyd, it looks immpossible now but it did happen!!
