Thanks for posting! Missing many of these the first time here in the States. These videos are much appropriate. Marc Bolan was an original. For creating glam rock, and influences on others, Marc should be in the Hall of Fame.
Consider Joe Namath in the NFL. Joe Namath was elected more for what he did for the sport, than actual stats. Marc may not have had a long career, but during his time, No artist was as popular in U.K. and Parts of Europe.

Hairdressers often suggest that you cut your hair shorter to look thinner. . . . . don't believe them, it doesn't work.

Marc as Elvis - no, but I still love it, remember waiting to hear the new T-Rex single in the summer of '76 on Radio 1, this was it, then punk happened, but he bought into that and showcased some of the best earliest British punk bands on his kid's TV show; the best of England- hypocrisy, third-world economy and revolt.

Amazing. The singer and songwriter of the original version of "I love rock n roll" is introducing Marc in this clip. This is rock history and most people don't get this fact watching the clip.

Yeah, and you can see the Arrows singer over Marc's left shoulder at 2:41 on the soundstage in this clip dancing along to the music, clearly loving it!

It's a round promo item, sort of a flat pinback button made by EMI marketing for his 1976 album Futuristic Dragon.

Marc was solo at this point in his career. His "Dandy in the underworld" period in 1976.
Like everyone else did in those days, Marc was miming to a track, and although he played the guitars on the pre-recorded track, there was no point in "plugging it in" since it would have hindered his lively performance.
