. . . las buena gente Steve & Carol Lord told me about your story-telling, and i just had to hear you for m'self!! MAGNIFICO!! thanks for sharing such a talent!! Caz Neill (aka PeachMelbaToast)
I met Rosalie Sorrells and Bruce (Utah) Phillips in 1964 when I joined the Intermountain Folk Music Society. Remember Bruce telling some of us about his experience in Korea (somewhat b.s. because he wasn't in combat there, but embellished his experience to make some points). I got drafted in 1966 (too much skiing, not enough class attendance), but I'll always cherish Utah's character and contributions to counter Utah's brain-dead mormon ignorance. RIP Utah.
Hey Partner I love your hat. You did great on this tune. Buddy Miller would be smiling. Thank you so much about the great history lesson on one of my favorite tunes. I never knew the truth behind the song. I love the part of "Appalachia" and I know the specialness of the "Willow" trees near a river. That is as they say the "Good STuff" my friend. Thank you for this video.
