Just subscribe to cable or satellite. Much easier than mounting a stinking antenna. Just don't spend so much money on other things and save for the monthly bill.

after they switch to digital. if your cable goes out for a day or so such as during a thunderstorm. Unless yor tv picks up the new dtv signals or you have dtv converter boxes you will not pick up local stations that is what a lot of people do not realize. however they will the first time it happens.

If you subscribe to cable or satellite, you won't have to worry about the transition at all...you'll be able to make the switch seamlessly. OTA viewers will have to get a converter box, if not shell out money for a DTV-ready set. Glad to know you're okay, but come 2-17-09 I hope many others will feel likewise.

WBIR-TV 10 in Knoxville conducted a DTV test before the end of the 6:00pm newscast minutes ago.
Good news: I am definitely ready for the DTV switch as I have digital cable from Comcast.
