  • Once again obeying the unwritten law that brain-beating shit music must be playing while looking at motorcycles.

  • @bramachari - It's like every person who posts to YouTube thinks that they're some kind of TV production guru whose music tastes are shared by the rest of the world.

  • @bramachari The good part is that the music didn't play whil ridding the bikes. At presentation it's ok, otherwise the introduction and ending of the clip would have been dol.

  • It's a baby Pan European, nice bike for commuting and short rides.

  • @bramachari I totally agree. It makes me feel sick!

  • @TheJakeman36 Hi there, I'm 6'4" and weigh in at 280lb. I've gone for long rides where I've been in the saddle for 3 hours before stopping for a break and not had any problem wih a sore back. My legs were a little stiff though but that's about as bad as it got for me. This bike is a good mid sized machine, I use it daily as a commute to work (rain or shine) and I go for long country rides too. To me it's the right fit and fun to ride.

  • I'm in Australia and I bought a brand new Deauville in June this year 2010. I've never looked back. I'm what you call a "hardcore" rider. I ride to work every day rain or shine and I go for rides on weekends. It is comfortable and economical. I get about 18.5 kilometeres to the litre so to me, it's a cheap ride. Shaft drive is low/ almost no maintenance. When I have to change the rear tyre, I pull it apart myself (20 minutes) and take it to the tyre store, save money on labour that way.

  • I would consider this bike but in the midwest normal is strong crosswinds on the open road. My former 1996 PC800 Honda did not do well in crosswinds so am concerned that this bike would be weak there too.

  • Hows the riding position?

I've heard its a bit too upright and causes lower back ache after plenty of hours in the seat

  • Bah.... Shaft drive. Unless it is a single sided swingarm I have no use for it. I was changing tires on my shadow 1100 for the first time yesterday, took me longer to get the damn wheel off the bike than it did to dismount the old tire, and mount the new one. Then negotiate all that back into place. K.I.S.S. really is the best method.
