As an evangelical Christian I appreciate that Kline claims to be a man of faith. On the other hand, I detest that he wears his faith like a badge so as to pander for votes from religious conservatives. He is like the religiously pious mentioned by Jesus in the Bible -- they go to great lengths to make sure their prayers and gifts are noticed and appreciated by those around them, only to find later that no rewards await them in heaven; indeed they were paid in full on earth.
