This is shocking that modern day so called SDA's are celebrating xmas and singing carols and exchanging gifts in their churches. What's happening to the Adventists nowadays? Apostasised or what?

@Suenell Embrace the truth not the church. There are other options to the General Conference churches.

@fernieboy100 Jesus says himself that it is better to give than receive. just because a pagan religion adopted this doesn't mean that we can't do it anymore.

@nepto125 Jesus could not have possibly been born on dec 25th which is the winter solstice and a day pagans did rituals and ceremonies to bring back the sun. They did this way before Jesus came to earth. Christmas is full of pagan customs as well as fairy tales - God said have no other Gods before me - not only that but there is not one single verse that tells us to celebrate Jesus birthday Notice how the world hates the gospel of Jesus but they love christmas ? You cant mix good with evil !

even though the world has slowly merged Christianity with paganism (which is what God is sad) many of us still celebrate it because of what it really means.

So don't look at what man has created this day to be.

look at what it was originally made to celebrate. JESUS :D

In Jeremiah chp. 2 God said to learn not the ways of the heathen. He then describes in perfect detail the christmas tree decked in silver and gold. God hates christmas. He hates syncretism - which is whenever pagan rituals are mixed with christianity. We have to be very careful not to take part in anything that involves other gods or idols. Unfortunately most of the worlds holidays are linked to a history of pagan idol worship -even if they may seem innocent and harmless. Satan is very clever.

WHY WHY WHY would any church celebrate with a Druid symbols such as the evergreen tree??? It's the same as taking on Easter with bunnies & rabbits rather than focusing on the Passover & Resurrection! This one error within the SDA is why I just cannot accept & immerse myself into the church which has SO MUCH TRUTH for the world yet keep man's traditions & error such as these holidays!
