@kamscall Well you should see the hate from the muslims when Rafi sings a Bhajan.I remember fanatic muslims came to the streets protesting when Rafi Saab released a non film Bhajan Album, at least these people never did that or resorted to any other extreme measure .Sir Hate is a two way street , I love Rafi and all artists from the Golden era but the hate you mentioned is the result of something greater, mend that cause and this hate will disappear automatically without any effort.

A very good song from a very good movie,all the songs composed by Dada were too good.Performances were superbly executed by all,Dev Saab,Suchitra Sen,Dhumal,Nazir Husain,Rashid Khan.Last scene is unforgettable,SS as a bride bidding good bye to a sad Dev Saab, & in background the song 'Chal ri sajni',enhances the mood.

This is a strategy that has worked for Hollywood a well as Bollywood and other woods. There were many singers as good as Rafi, who we all agree was a good singer.

RafiJi is no doubt Great, but I wonder why nobody thinks about the sheer genius of Sachin Dev Burman..I agree there will never be another Rafi and would like to add that there will never be another Music Composer as great as S.D.Burman...
