Feb. 7, 1976 - Toronto Maple Leafs captain Darryl Sittler scores 10 points against the Boston Bruins. This video is taken from a 20th-anniversary piece that the late lamented Sportsline did, including interviews with Sittler and then-Bruins coach Don Cherry. I like this particularly because it includes the original play-by-play of the goals. (I realize the a/v sync is off at the start, but it corrects itself a few seconds in.)

really not a great acheivement. this goalie was horrible. ten points yeah but come on the goalie sucked. and the goaltending in general back then was not great. dnt think any goalie from that era could play in the minors now no less in the nhl

This happened exactly 35 years today! I watched that game on a Saturday night and I remember it like it was yesterday. Those were the days my friend; wish they were here again. Thanks for the memories!!!!

@Stevessl Wow... you're right, it was 35 years ago exactly. This segment was done in honour of its 20th anniversary, which, 15 years later, means it's been almost as long again. Man that makes me feel old.

@tymeformike. This story let's you know that i am a devout Leafs fan. When that Sittler 10 point game was going on, i was listening to it on radio. On a short wave radio in New Jersey,US.

I now live in Colorado, still follow the Leafs. Man it's painful, this team needs a first line center something fierce.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was 8 years old and almost didn't watch...figured Bruins would blow them out of the water. Tonight, I will read "My Leafs Sweater" to my 8 year old son.

@skyroe2 How do you say "really not a great achievement"? 10 POINTS IN A GAME!!! I don't care who was in net or who it was against, that is an unbelievable accomplishment that will never happen unless someone puts me in net against Sidney Crosby. These guys are all professional players who are good enough to play in the NHL. It's an unbelievable achievement.
