MAUI FLIGHT

These are a few clips from my flight of Maui County I took on Saturday February 5th, 2011. Bret, my instructor for the day, was from Maui Aviators, and I must say those folks are AWESOME. We did a full fly around of Maui County for under 500.00 (just barely :-) ). That included a flight lesson, and my lovely wife came along too. A two hour helicopter tour would have been well over 1000.00 for the two of us. Best part was...I got to fly the trip from the left seat and learn about flying in a very busy airspace. Learning to fly in Hawaii takes a lot of concentration and very good skills on the radio stack. We were all over the frequencies reporting our position about every 5 minutes so the myriad of helos and planes can keep from meeting the hard way. This, along with spending two weeks with my wife...alone, was the highlight of the trip and is one more thing to check off the bucket list :-)
