Make what you will of this video, but I am proud of the way my husband handled himself in what could have been a worse situation than what was. Yes, he tried EVERYTHING. We landed in an airport with NO tower on CHRISTMAS DAY - so, not a lot of people around. My husband acted in a safe manner at ALL TIMES. Please keep your mean spirited comments off of this page, you weren't there.

  • Well done indeed, you held in on the runway really well considering your left wing was scraping down the runway :)

  • Excellent video to learn from a real situation instead of the simulation during training.

    Excellent CRM

    Excellent airplane control

    Congrats, God bless you.

  • @furtjager117 Not a problem. There were a few "pilots" that started arguments with people on this page, and even tried to call me out for deleting their posts. Their posts weren't helpful, or very intelligent. I just don't have the time for keyboard pilots who don't know anything about the airplanes they talk about. I don't have time for "woulda coulda shoulda". Accidents are just that...accidents. My husband is an excellent pilot. Enough said.

  • @MadPlatypus You never know! The gear on the Arrow is a pretty redundant system, and if alternator, alternator annunciator, ammeter, main battery, and emergency landing gear valve all failed in one flight, thats some final destination crap right there. But excellent ADM and landing nonetheless. And what happened to the mean spirited questions part??? Lol. Just asking a simple, respectful question.

  • nice job m8

  • Did you try the manual gear extension?

  • That's quite an experience ! Nice job!

  • You did a great job. Very calm in a very stressful situation. I'm subscribing!

  • @MadPlatypus HAHA Thanks, I take anything I can get. LOL

  • @MadPlatypus HAHA TX I take everything I can get!!
