Food (what else) and then into the car for the ride to Ganzi/Ganze around a 4-1/2 hour drive from Dege past fields of barley, corn and cows replaced the yaks.
Mr. Wang screeched to a stop when we came across a Buddhist monk prostrating himself along the main road. This monk began his long journey to Lhasa 9 MONTHS AGO (around 1,000 km/621 miles) and still had about another 3,500 kms/2,174 miles to go! Each prostration is a continual prayer and, if and when he reaches Lhasa, he'll continue on to sacred Mt. Kailash. Now THIS is something you don't see along a road every day.
@Chichiri520 It most certainly is! I was exhausted just watching him. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Best regards, Travels With Sheila
