FFXII NLB Challenge: Fafnir (part 1 of 3)

The fight with Fafnir went exactly as expected - pretty much the same as the fight with Goliath. I actually watched TV while the characters took him down.

The majority of the damage done to Fafnir during this fight comes from Reflecting his own Shock back at him - and it's a good thing, too; this guy has 1.3 million HP, and taking him down 800-1200 at a time would have taken much longer.

I could have made this fight a little shorter by remembering to turn up the battle speed at the beginning and Hasting Fafnir, but I was running low on Hastega Motes, and couldn't justify the use of them (it would have been a long fight regardless).

During this first part, I played around with keeping Reddas alive, but his damage didn't justify the time Fafnir wasted not using Shock.

Why doesnt fafnir move? He only casts shock and status stuff, im wondering, did fafnir use immobelizega or sumthin at the beggining? Why did he hjust sit there while you guys ranged him...,

Fafnir is too big to fit in between the rock and the wall - he has to stay outside and cast magic.

really kl i just killed him with vaan my fav and the esper adrammelech he is ele so he helped but i only had vaan at level 87 and no other help i also had artimis bow and ele arrows

OK. Go back to Mt. Bur-Omisace and talk to the viera called Relj. That FORCES a snowstorm.

Rent a chocobo and make your way to the isolated part of Silverflow's End, but on your way avoid the area known as Frozen Brook. It's a bit out of your way but a chocobo will make it with plenty of time on the clock.

A hint: Move yourself to the right of the rock (as seen above), cast Reflectga, and spam Thundaga on yourself for a very, very easy victory. It's 1.3 million HP, so... XO

lol i daren't fight fafnir and i'm on a normal game lol i would neerly have lvl 99 characters now if i didnt spend my time making them even i'm gonna hunt on cerobi step with embroidered tippets and them wyrms i haven't unlocked secret places it's my first save so do u reckon my strategy is right? all my character are lvl 45 except fran and penelo lvl 46 and i've done 90 hours of play. and alonso23422 u say it was slow it's an nlb game!!!!
