In this video we are going to be configuring the Cisco port-security feature on a Catalyst 3560 switch. We will look specifically at configuring static, dynamic and sticky secure MAC addresses as well as aging timers and automatic recovery from error disabled state!

  • here what i do but it still does not provides me port security PLS PLS HELP SIR here are my commands conf t int fast 0/1 switch port port mode access switch port port-security switch port port-security maximum 1 switch port port security mac add 1111.1111.1111.1111 (sticky) switch port port-security violation shutdown please sir help me
  • @troywoodtube You need to make sure you configure "switchport port-security" by itself before you do anything else. That enables the feature

  • Thanks for this video, still one question, what ´s the difference between

    S1(config-if)#switchport port-security mac-address 000C.85B3.3708

    and

    S1(config-if)#switchport port-security mac-address sticky 000C.85B3.3708
