self explanatory. it was the first day i tried out this groove. so no hate or "you fucked up at minute 1.11-comments", please! basically all i wanted to do is practice an odd pattern, specially inserting breaks while not fucking with the measure at the same time... the groove came to my mind the day before when i was writing a midterm paper...

  • i like this beat, especially that really fast break at around 0:25 . i find it very hard to do faster fills than the beat goes. do you double the hit count when you do such a fast fill ? is this easy to learn ?

nice practice video ! rock on.

  • heyhey,

actually it ain't doubled but played along just in the same timing...the beat already has the 16th counting compared to the 7/8 signature...all you got to do is to move your hands from the hihat/snare to the toms and fill the gaps of your choice with your bass drum!

    greetz!

  • @MrMichaelSchwark :

thanks for the quick and clear answer, i have a lot to practice, and 16th rythem drums isn't my strongest point, but now i get it. i guess i have to start slowly, and work my way up from there if i nail the fill/beat :-D

    kind regards,
