  • 1300 cc Mazda twin rotor built by Redline. Injected, turbo, intercooler, 400+ hp. super lightweight, I can lift the motor out of the car by myself. Amazing power from such a small package. Getting more and more rare with all the vette's and northstar's out there.

  • that sweet is that a tatum evolution

  • It is one of the very first spyder's that Rich Tatum built in 2000. The first generation spyders, like mine, look quite a bit different from the later ones.

  • when was the first year they built them

  • Rich, owner of Tatum Motorsports, has been building sand cars for quite a while. This car was the "new millenium" design. I have a friend with a Tatum long travel car built around 1995. Rich has been building cars long before that. My car had the new designed billet front end. If my car was not the first spyder, it was close. Looks a little funky next to the Black Widows (taller and boxy) but you can see the heritage. It has been a great car - many trips with few issues.
