my trip to New Orleans 2 days after Katrina

As I was sitting in my office listening on the radio to how sever the storm damage was turning out to be in N.O. I realized that this wasn't some horrible tragedy unfolding 10,000 miles away on a different continent, this was a city I had been to before...two states over from where I lived! I immediately jumped into my minivan (that's how real men roll) and left for new orleans. I stopped at a walmart in Katy texas and spent all the money I had on protein bars and baby formula and bottled water, etc. As much as everybody gripes about walmart, the manager was awesome! when she heard why I was buying her entire supply of protein bars,etc. she gave me a 20% discount on everything! Once in new orleans I was able to help some really amazing people.
