Just a video of the inside controls while I'm driving. This is intended for anyone who wanted to see what it looked like in action. Not very exciting but I figured nobody else had a video for this in a Jeep Wrangler TJ. Enjoy.

  • 6 speed? NSG370...didnt pop out of reverse, and didnt grind into 2nd gear? I guess your the lucky one.

  • @HST40 Haha, can't say that's never happened. I have had issues with it but found ways to work around them. I thought they were normal since this is the first manual that I've driven.

  • near the end of the vid it seems you are fighting to keep the wheel straight. How fast were you going?

  • @Ericruno If you're talking about around 2:00, I think I was going about 50 mph once I shifted into 6th. From what I remember, I was taking an on-ramp onto I-79. That section of 79 isn't in the best of shape and the road surface was full of bumps and pot-holes. The wind wasn't helping much either lol.

If you want an idea of what it looks like, go to 1:00 of my video called "Drivecam 7 (Front Bumper)". That doesn't show any of the pot-holes that were formed in winter though lol.

  • @mattbjrs The only reason i asked is because i was looking to get a wrangler, but i need it to do 250 mile trip on occasion to get home from school.

  • @Ericruno I've taken this thing on 300 mile trips before. I find the seats to be pretty comfortable. The only thing is if you drive through lots of hills or regularly go 70+ mph, I wouldn't really recommend the 2.4L 4-cylinder engine like mine has. Of course, mine has a 4" lift kit and bigger tires that were installed by the previous owner, so that might be why it has trouble with maintaining those higher speeds and hills. The lift has come in handy in crossing flooded roads and deep snow though

  • @mongrelchild Glad you like the video. There's a similar one that I posted for the same reason but is an overhead view called "Drivecam 11". I know I looked for videos like this when I was dreaming of getting a Jeep so I figured I would make some now that I have one. Jeeps are really fun vehicles to drive (assuming you're not looking for a luxury car that is quiet and smooth lol). If you get one, I hope you like it as much as I've loved mine.

  • I like the vid. Thinking of getting one of these and now I have an idea what theyre like to drive.

  • @joshster89 yeah, I tend to skip 5th gear if the road is flat/downhill. It's a lot smoother when I shift into 6th rather than 5th gear, but is somewhat dangerous since if you shift too far to the right you throw it into reverse (that does not produce a pleasant sound lol). Usually I shift it a little to the right and then diagonally downward so I can feel it touch the divider between 4th and 6th just to be on the safe side lol.

  • Are you shifting from 4 to 6 at 2:18?
