The climbing guide we met on the summit was from another group, but we shared the rope (although the rope was only necessary for ten meters just below the summit).

  • what's the song? how do you call that song? very nice rythm:)

  • This song is called 'resham firiri', it's an old nepalese song. Our poters have sung this some times. What you can hear here was recorded on our way down to Barundanda, singing treckers... You can get nepalese CD's, for example from Sur Sudha with this song.

  • Hi, thanks to you all for your nice comments. It really was a nice adventure...

  • Greatc stuff, nice mountaineering camaradery with the gide!

  • @wz0815 this song is not "resham firiri" this one is "pani muni dhunga ma leu lagyo...." both the songs are classical nepali songs..all time great!!

  • r u a creep like me and spend 5 hours lookin at mountains from satellite?

  • Say hello to my girls in Homde:)

  • Like its a piece of cake!!

  • Nice video. Around the massif and up...Chulu provides great views of Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri - so much more.

If you're interested in Nepal, have a look at my page and check-out the Nepal election videos I've posted, as well as some nice scenic footage. More to come.

  • Nice video. I was on this summit Oct 2004 in very similar conditions. Brings back memories. The song, by the way, is not ' Resham Firriri'. I know because I sang Resham Firriri and learned the words on another trip in Oct 2007. We had even more snow, after a 2 day storm. Thanks for the memories.

  • Haha "Roksie from Germany". Pretty good description.

People commenting don't seem to understand the difference between "Annapurna Himalaya" and "Annapurna I". Chulu Far East is a trekking peak to the north east of Annapurna, not the famed Annapurna I that everyone commenting here thinks it is. Chulu Far East does look like a great climb though. Great video as well.
