I went to Holly Beach in March 2008. I did not know the devastation this place had suffered. I am from north Alabama. At the time my husband was working in Lake Charles. We drove down to the beach one Sunday just killing time. What a sad place. I would love to see pictures of this place before Rita, other than the ones taken from the sky. I can only imagine it was a very beautiful, booming place. I dont remember seeing anything on tv about this place, only New Orleans.
