there was a comment earlier about wearing safety glasses uner your welding helmet. Sparks and splatter can still actually get in between your face and the safety glasses depending on type of glasses you have. Dont know about you guys but i would rather the splatter fall away from my face in a welding helmet as opposed to getting it stuck between some safety glasses and my face.

I agree with the last two posts. This guy is a professional welder that is get'n down and dirty with his welding. He isn't pussy-footing around trying to give out welding advice on YouTube to a bunch of "keyboard" wanna-be PAID welders. He's welding. Job and somebody wanted to film him doing that job.

@urgentcareguy3 those aren't spot welds, they're tack welds. ...which he then follows through with full bead welds. Go back to welding 101.
Did you have to weld both on each side or just one side?
