Hmmm. That's a good question. I have'nt a clue. I know nothing of the composer other than his music.

First of all Germans are not evil, although there are many of them which I don't like.

Second Johann Strauß, both father and son, were Austrians. Richard Strauß was German.

I didn't know that he was the creatoer or a supporter of Pan-German Nationalism, I even didn't know that there's somehting like "Pan-German Nationalism" I only know the so called Pan-Europe Movement.

I'll never press for an Anschluss ;) Europe had the Third Reich and it was hardly bearable.
