@Kapindur agreed. there was brutality on both sides in both theatres. some cases worse than others, and different levels of respect for one another in each front. the eastern front was no less brutal than the Pacific, with seething hatred for one another. the western front wasnt as venomous in terms of hatred, but the Germans fought with a ferocity that we had thought impossible. every nation in the war commited horrible acts.

He is not a Japanese, but a Chinese! His name was Hao Ching Fu and was hired as a house boy by the marines in Beijing, when they stationed in China. Eugene and taught each other Chinese and English and became good friends.

6 Japs dont like this. How can you dislike this.. Its history. and its damn interesting. Second ww is interesting to learn about, To learn about the war in pacific and the war in Europe. I think that The pacific and Band of brothers is definitely the best series about world war 2 and both series describe the horrors they had to go trough. Its the best series I ever seen Respect its the only word i can think of now. And i thank them for my freedom and for what the allies did during the second ww

Joe did a wonderful job in this series. The actors should have received more recognition at the Emmys then they did.

@theMilkShakeMan100 Someday will you have to chance to ask those young men that gave their lives for you to say "So What" for their sacrifice.
Be sure and be as Cool as you think you are here when you meet them.
Surely they will agree once they meet you and see that you are waaay too cool for them. Perhaps they will understand that they deserved to die so you can act like an conceited idiot in our time and cut them down for dying for your right to make a fool out of yourself.
But maybe not..
