Tracing the Intangible is about my eternal life state, but also who I was, who I am and who I want to be. I explore the idea of my Chinese origins and how this effects my current British based identity. I use the notion of Chinese ink as a metaphor for my forever changing state, the expansive possibility of being and for something ancient, before my time that courses through my veins now, but reflecting like a mirror to my inseparable environment. Tracing the intangible is an sensation, a yearning, seeking, a sense that I can feel, but cannot touch. This film is not meant to be literal, so please feel free to bathe in the aesthetic beauty and its rhythm of chaos and calm.
