Sari Nordman

BAAD! ASS WOMEN FESTIVAL 2010

Sari Nordman has performed her choreography in the US and in Finland since 1996. Her work has been presented at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, Chashama, Columbia University, Dance Theater Hurjaruuth, The Lea, Full Moon Dance Festival, Gershwin Hotel, Scandinavian House, Zodiak, among other venues. On April 5th she will present her work at the Movement Research at the Judson Church. Working as a dancer with choreographers Douglas Dunn, Dean Moss, Susan Rethorst and Melinda Ring has influenced her own dance making. She would like to thank Run Shays and Sasha Wells for inspiration. She has received funding from the Consulate General of Finland in New York for this performance, and would like to thank Ikka Kalliomaa at the Consulate. She holds an M.F.A. degree in modern dance from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts.
