  • im annoyed, my PC version of call of duty united offensive multiplayer isnt working properly, im wondering do i need to reinsert disk 1 to play the multiplayer variant or is something else wrong? when i try to join a game it either goes into a neverending "awaiting gamestate" or it just comes up with a error messege

It is an interesting situation. I have always been a PC gamer but recently I needed a mobile gaming system due to being regularly on the move. It would have be a gaming laptop, It is just so shocking to see gaming laptops so far behind their non-portable desktop counter parts. I thought they would have addressed this years ago.

Just to ask, are small form factor pcs able to match the standard desktops or are they gimmicky too?

  • @lobbotekka2019 Oh well in that case for a laptop those specs are pretty good. In the future though if you want something with a little more kick, then one option you can use is ordering a custom made laptop. I paid around $1,500 for my computer. At the time (I haven't checked since I got my computer) Alienware/Dell had a "top-of-the-line" desktop that was a step or two below my specs, for nearly $2,500. Avoid brand-names, avoid hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

HP Laptop. Off the shelf. I didn't buy it specifically for gaming but I thought the specs were good enough for all major games.

  • @lobbotekka2019 At that price it almost seems like it was a brand-name computer. When did you get it? And was it custom built or did you buy it 'off the shelf'?

That is what I am talking about. My specs are no where near that and I spent similar to you :-(

    Here are my specs.

i7 q720 1.6 Ghz quad core, 8 Gb ram, Ati HD5650 IGb,. 500 Mb hard drive at 7200 RPM. Max resolution 1366x720. I run Shogun 2 max settings with minimal fuss but I struggle to run quite a lot of games including GTA4 and Empire Total War.

  • @lobbotekka2019 i7-960 processor (3.20ghz quad core), asus sabertooth motherboard, 12gb of ram, nvidia 560Ti palit sonic edition, 1TB hard drive with 2 750 internal hard drives on the external docking station. Cost around $1,500. I'm also using a 23" monitor at 1920x1080 resolution. Only games that are pushing my machine are Deus Ex and Shogun 2 (Shogun 2 because I like battles with 5,000 men per player/AI, not 5,000 total.) With the i7-2600k now going for $250 Im lookin to replace my CPU soon.

  • @Kage6415

What are your rig specs? How much did it cost?

  • Oo Rockstar killed Hitler?
