I own this model in Honeyburst. It has become my "grab and play" guitar because of its light weight and thin neck. I own 2 x Custom shop historics and I like this guitar a lot...that says something! I can see where they cut corners....multi-piece bag, low grade Rosewood fretboard, thinner Maple cap...etc but overall a very good Les Paul. The P90s sing! I actually prefer its tone more than my '59 & '60 Custom shop. Every Les Paul fan should buy one, seriously. They are such good guitars.
@TheColonelKlink I too have a 60's tribute, about a year old, my favorite tone guitar thus far..
Thanks for the comment. It is great to finally find a player on youtube that can make the LP 60's play at its' best. Love the sound and tone they are great guitars. They have been under rated & estimated for value.
Nice demo. I bought mine about a year ago from the local music shop. It has become my number one. There are so many demos of these 60s Tributes on Youtube by no talent shredding idiots who have them so distorted you can't really hear the true golden tone they offer. This video does a lot to get across the real magic of these guitars. I play blues myself and love sweet, fat clean tones and you did a great job of conveying that. Good playing. Nice licks. These guitars are incredible.
I can't believe I bought a Gibson sight unseen from Amazon but it worked out very nicely. The satin goldtop finish is beautiful and the biting sound of the P90s is exactly what I was looking for to complement my other warmer sounding hollow and semi-hollow body humbucker guitars. The craftsmanship is first class. Then neck is on the thin ...

@97henrik the difference are the pickups. 60's - P90; 50's - Humbuckers.

I got one of these for xmas off my GF. Totally love it....the p90's are awesome!
So much tone, and yet so much lighter than a standard. You can tell its great before you even plug in cause it just sounds so loud!! ;)
