I believe that's the Ibanez SZ520 QM quilt maple, not the SZ520 FM flamed maple

I had the exact same guitar. I though it sound pretty good,butt looked better than it sounded in my opinion. Damn pretty guitar with above average sound but not quite amazing. I still really enjoyed it while I had it.

I'm getting the SZ4020FM Prestige today.. Even though it's discontinued, I found it new. I can't wait.

Well, the overall design is the same, with the same wood and pickups. I like the most recent version the best anyway. The older design with the flame inlays was way too trendy looking for me. I'm not a 22 year old kid trying out for a spot to play for Nickledouche-bag. Still and all, it's a great guitar for the money and as crazy as it sounds, I'd take it over a les-paul. All this thing needs is better pickups and this axe is a Giant Killer. Just like the new Peavey 3120 Head...

No they stopped making them, the SZR is has a diffrent body shape, with slightley smaller horns

They haven't stopped making them. The most recent variant of this killer guitar is the SZR520 and is only $549 thru most online retailers. They got rid of that trendy looking flame fretboard inlay and now has traditional dots. This guitar sounds KILLER in person and I can't imagine how good it would sound with some better Dimarzios or Duncans! Trust me, this guitar SMOKES all the comparable ESP/Schecter/Washburn short-scale, Mahogany LP variants! Nice tight bass and a shimmering top end. Peace.
