Phillips AF-829 Turntable, Landfill Destined Rescue

I found this turntable next to the dumpster at my apartment complex. I have a nicer one but I think I can find a new home for this one. I hate to see usable items get added to the landfill, have you ever seen one? They are literally the size of mountains! Someone had cut the audio cables and it was really dirty. I rescued it, soldered on some new cables, and gave it a good cleaning and a test drive and it a good little table with 3 very unique features that I have never seen before. Here's a quick vide showing it off a bit so it can live on at least as long as Youtube exists.

@jacobsanchez24 Well the RCA cables had been cut so I had to solder in a new pair but other than that it worked.

I'd love to have that. Funny how it is so pristine. Did they wrap it in a towel or something before gently placing it next to that dumpster?

It really is surprising at what people will throw out! Including decent turntables!

The model is actually 1981. And it was the top model of the range.

It seems to me that it is nog the original catridge as is woul normally be a GP412 or GP406
