The top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan, General Stanley McChrystal, says the next 18 months are critical to reversing Taliban momentum in Afghanistan. Speaking Tuesday alongside the U.S. Ambassador to Kabul Karl Eikenberry, McCrystal said he believes the U.S. and its allies will continue to boost Afghanistan's ability to provide security in the long term.
