Surviving Harassment and Fighting Stalkers (How We Beat the Bad Guy)
I talk about what it is like to be a target of stalking and harassment.
In this video I explain how we live in a culture that is predisposed to believe the harasser when clear concise evidence is lacking (and sometimes when it isn't) and how those who stalk others rely on this culture of support to play their twisted games.
The female voice you hear is my wife. She's what a real badass looks like.
Take notes people so when the fake ones come around you don't get fooled by them.
Follow this link to my blog where I've typed up a transcript for those having difficulty with hearing due to low volume:
0:01 Original clip from the attack by our stalker
0:54 Introduction to topic of the problems of how our society views stalking
4:30 I address poor argumentation against this video (1st argument of tldw addressed)
5:01 I address argument of; "This situation is different"
5:55 I address argument of "You are using this story to slander all men."
6:35 I begin to tell about our introduction to the stalker and explain how he entered our lives.
8:15 "Cindy": asks us to help deal with "Jim's" harassment. I explain how we succumb to the societal assumption that it is the victim's fault and blame "Cindy" which leads to the stalker's obsession transferring to my wife.
9:15 We begin to learn about how the neighborhood (society) makes excuses for the stalker's behavior and what that behavior is.
12:42 We try to cut off contact from the stalker. He explodes and friendly obsession takes a turn towards the ominous.
13:15 I first bring out our stalker kit and explain its purpose.
14:45 I discuss some of the rules of dealing with harassment/ stalking and how the victim gets blamed.
16:12 The original victim who got us involved flees from the experience. I discuss how witnesses never want to get involved.
16:37 We go to see a lawyer. He tells us how hard and expensive dealing with a stalker is. he also explains how getting a restraining order is impossible unless the woman (my wife) was romantically involved with the harasser.
How the goal harassment and stalking is to evoke a reaction that makes you look like the guilty party.
19:14 "You never think it's going to take as long as it does to make it stop"
20:03 I discuss what is in the stalker file 1) Cross complaints
22:37 Protecting yourself from false complaints
22:59 The disposable camera; your friend. How to use it.
24:09 The harasser changes his strategy: we adjust. Audio recording.
25:14 Never speak to or address your harasser (rule 4) harassment is insidious because predators are good at predating (rule 5)
26:59 I sum up some of the more bizarre incidents when he begins to unravel. People begin to believe us but the system is still stacked against us.
28:19 I stress again how complaining gets you nowhere and the victim and family gets blamed.
29:04 D-Day. Everything explodes.
30:50 I replay the original clip for you to view with your new context.
31:45 I explain why video evidence and evidence is so hard to come by.
33:26 I describe the sixth rule of dealing with a stalker and why it is important to determine what is harassment worthy of complaint.
35:22 nothing ever turns out the way you hope it does.
36:25 There's what you want and what you get (the end)
37:52 It is always someone else's problem and you are on your own.
38:58 What does this mean to all of us?
To all my friends on YouTube: we thank you for all your support. At this time we're reevaluating the self proclaimed skeptic community on and off YouTube and deciding what, if any place we have in it.
Don't worry, I will still continue to make great content that consists of us debunking idiots, having fun, being sexy, awesome and petting the cat.
Go to my channel page for links to my blog, twitter, facebook and donation to support the ability of this channel to do more content.
If people show an interest and support my wife and I have discussed doing a series on stalking and successfully fighting back. Those who like the idea are welcome to donate.
