Got this little setup for $300, put less than $50 into it to get her up to speed. The previous owner had left it outside for the last two years, and never had attached the snow blower. It took only making some brackets to mount the blower, and this was my first use with her in the snow. I need more weight in the back. The tires are 99% filled with windshield washer fluid, and I plan on adding wheel weights and a weight box in the back.

Needless to say, I am very happy!

  • @zandanse I just made another video of it blowing nice dry snow, I think you will like that one too. You will have a blast with yours.

  • Yeah, that 18 hp B&S has been very strong, even in the thickest of snow. I am in Bethel, Maine, but so far no real snow yet, other than a quick 6" a while ago.

  • I got them on eBay, they were less than $10 shipped. I think I searched for amber flashing LED.

  • Continued: from the pressurized tank. It probably sounds complicated, but it is very easy. Total cost was about $60 for the tank and the windshield washer fluid.

  • I bought tubes for the tires first, not needed but this allowed me to get a 100% liquid fill into the tire, otherwise you can only fill up to the valve stem. Yes, I did this for weight. I bought on of those air tanks that does not have a compressor on it, it is just the tank. I forget what size it is, they generally sell two sizes, mine is the larger one, paid $35. I filled that tank about 80% full of washer fluid, then pressurized that tank. I then filled my tubes (in the tires) from that

  • Can you make a video of the area you think you think you are missing the pulley? When you click to reply here, it will give you the option to upload it as your comment. I had to replace a pulley once, I went to the local lawn mower repair guy and found a match in one of his many buckets and charged me only $10.

  • Found the same kind of $300 deal on a 48" single stage blower and mounted it to a 24 HP Deere lawn tractor. If it works anywhere as well as your setup I will be thrilled! Nice video!

  • Looks like you might get a little tomorrow night. I've got the plow and blower read to go for the SS/16 I've got, but I think it might be a while before I see any action down here. Thanks for the video, it's all I've got for now!

  • Very nice. Wonderful sounds from the engine , especially the exhaust note under load. Thought it was an onan P220G but read it's a B&S. I have a 16 HP B&S Vanguard in my Cub 1641 and it's right up there with the best of the tractor engines I have (6 tractors), also have Kohlers and Onans. Just got an older GT6000 w/ a P220G, but only kept the engine and some parts. Machine as a whole was not worth salvaging. Architecture looks like New England, maybe Vermont? I'm in MD. Wish I had your snow.

  • where did you get the cute blinky strobe light? id like that on mine

  • How did you put windshield wiper fluid in the tires? And did you do that for the extra weight?
