An 8 feet 2 inch long 15 year old Black Rat Snake! Featured at Hemlockfest 2009 By The Camp Wahsega 4H environmental education camp, an extension of the University of Ga. This snake was one of many wildlife and nature exhibits featured at Hemlockfest 2009, Dahlonega, Ga. Thank you guys and gals for a great exhibit! Hemlockfest raises money for the fight against an insect invader called the wooly adelgid that is killing much of the Hemlocks on the east coast.
@CatskillMountainView what the hell did you keep it in a shoe box? Get a lock and take better care of your shit.

They are found as far north as Canada. One of the largest ones ever captured came from the Catskills of NY.

I had one five feet long almost 20 years ago. It got loose in the house and was missing for a few weeks but I found it. The following spring it got loose again and was gone all summer but then I saw that it got hit crossing the road about 1/4 mile from my house.
